Privacy Policy — Mira (AI Companion)
Effective date: June 4, 2026 · Last updated: July 6, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how ARS PROGRAMMATICA, based in Istanbul, Türkiye ("Mira", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Mira mobile application (the "App") and related services (together, the "Service").
Mira is an AI companion app provided for entertainment and companionship purposes only. You have live, face-to-face voice and video conversations with "Mira," an artificial-intelligence character. Mira is NOT a human being and is NOT a medical, mental-health, legal, or financial professional. See "AI Disclosure" below.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. We collect:
a) Account / identity data
- An anonymous account identifier created automatically when you first open the App (via Firebase Authentication). By default you are signed in anonymously; we do not require your real name or email to use the App.
b) Profile data you choose to provide
- Optional details you enter in your profile: first name (or nickname), age, gender, and pronouns. These are optional and used only to let Mira address you naturally during conversations. You can edit or clear them at any time.
c) Conversation data (voice, video & content)
- When you start a session, your device's microphone and camera capture your audio and video and stream it in real time so Mira can see and hear you and respond. This live media is sent to and processed by our real-time video and AI providers to generate Mira's responses (see Section 3).
- Camera video (we do NOT collect face data). During a call the front camera captures live video so Mira can respond to you in real time, exactly like an ordinary video call. We do NOT collect "face data": we do NOT use facial recognition, we do NOT create, store, or use a faceprint, face template, face geometry, or any biometric identifier, and the app does NOT use Face ID, the TrueDepth/depth camera, or face-tracking. Your face is never analyzed to identify you and is never used to train AI models or for advertising. The live video is streamed only to carry the call and is not retained by us as a stored recording (see Section 7).
- Conversation recordings and transcripts held by our AI providers to power a session are automatically deleted within 12 hours of the end of the call — typically within minutes after the call ends.
- To let Mira remember context between conversations, the content of what you say is processed by an AI provider to create short text notes ("memory"): facts you have shared (such as your name or what is going on in your life), recent topics, and things Mira plans to ask you about next time. If you choose to talk about personal or emotional matters, these notes may reflect that — so please share only what you are comfortable with Mira remembering. The notes are stored on your account in Firebase and used only to personalize future conversations. You can erase them at any time directly in the App (Profile → Delete conversations & memory) or by contacting us (see Section 8).
- We obtain your explicit consent inside the App before any of this data is sent to our AI providers for the first time.
- We do not sell your conversations and we do not use them to build advertising profiles.
d) Purchase data
- When you buy a subscription or a minutes top-up, the purchase is processed by Apple. We (and our purchases provider, RevenueCat) receive a record that a purchase occurred, the product purchased, and your subscription status.
- We never receive or store your credit-card or full payment details; those are handled solely by Apple.
e) Usage and diagnostic data
- Basic app activity such as session counts, timestamps, subscription status, remaining minutes/credits, and crash or error logs used to keep the App working and to enforce plan limits.
f) Device and technical data
- Standard technical information provided by the operating system and our service providers (e.g. app version, device/OS type, and identifiers needed for authentication, analytics, and purchase validation).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the core Service: live video conversations with Mira.
- Personalize how Mira talks to you (using your optional profile details).
- Process and validate subscriptions and minutes top-ups, and enforce the minutes included in your plan.
- Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the App.
- Respond to support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. AI Disclosure & Third-Party Service Providers
Mira is powered by artificial intelligence and by trusted third-party service providers ("processors") who handle data on our behalf. Your conversations are processed by AI systems to generate Mira's spoken, animated responses.
We use the following providers:
- Tavus, Inc. — our real-time AI video provider. Tavus generates Mira's real-time AI avatar (video and speech) and processes the conversational audio/video and context needed to respond. To do this, Tavus uses vetted AI subprocessors, including OpenAI (language models that generate Mira's replies) and Cartesia (voice synthesis). Conversation data held by Tavus is automatically deleted within 12 hours of a call (see Section 7).
- Anthropic, PBC (Claude) — processes the text of a conversation to create the short "memory" notes that let Mira recall context between sessions. Per Anthropic's policies, this data is not used to train their models.
- Daily.co (Daily) — provides the real-time audio/video transport that carries the live call between your device and the AI avatar.
- Google Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Firestore) — provides anonymous sign-in and securely stores your account record, optional profile details, subscription status, and usage counters.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — manages and validates in-app purchases and subscription status across the App Store.
- Apple — processes all payments for subscriptions and top-ups through your Apple ID and the App Store.
Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver its part of the Service and under its own privacy and security commitments. We share personal data with these providers only under agreements that require them to protect your data with the same or equivalent level of protection described in this Policy, to use it only to provide their service to us, and not to sell it. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of Tavus, Anthropic, Daily, Google/Firebase, RevenueCat, and Apple.
Important: Mira is an AI character provided for entertainment and companionship purposes only. Because conversations are processed by AI and third-party providers, please do not share highly sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers, government IDs, or health details) during a session.
4. Subscriptions & Top-Ups (Data We Process)
The App offers auto-renewing weekly subscriptions (Companion, Confidant, and Soulmate tiers), each including a set number of conversation minutes per week, and a one-time consumable "minutes top-up" that adds extra minutes.
For these purchases we process: the product purchased, purchase/renewal timestamps, your current entitlement/subscription status, and your remaining minutes balance. This data is used to grant access, track minute usage, and enforce plan limits. Payment instrument details are handled by Apple, not by us.
5. How We Share Information
We do NOT sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With the service providers listed in Section 3, to operate the Service.
- To comply with the law, a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Mira.
- In connection with a business transfer (e.g. merger or acquisition), subject to this Policy.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
- Live audio/video and API traffic are encrypted in transit (e.g. HTTPS/TLS and encrypted real-time media).
- Account and profile data stored in Firebase is protected by access rules so that a user's record is associated with their own authenticated account.
- Payment details are never stored by us; they are handled by Apple.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit what we collect.
7. Data Retention
- Live conversation audio/video is streamed only to power the session and is not retained by us as a stored recording for ordinary use of the App. We do not collect face data and do not build or keep any faceprint or biometric template from the camera video.
- Conversation recordings and transcripts held by our AI providers to power a session are automatically and permanently deleted within 12 hours of the end of the call — typically within minutes after the call ends.
- The short text "memory" notes described in Section 1(c) are stored on your account while it exists and until you delete them (in the App via Profile → Delete conversations & memory, or by contacting us) or your account is deleted.
- Account, profile, subscription, and usage records are retained while your account exists and as needed for the purposes in this Policy or as required by law. Providers may retain limited processing logs per their own policies.
8. Your Choices & Rights
- Profile: edit or clear your name, age, gender, and pronouns at any time in the App's Settings.
- Conversations & memory: erase everything Mira remembers about you and delete your conversation data from our AI providers at any time, directly in the App (Profile → Delete conversations & memory). This deletes only your own data and takes effect immediately.
- Permissions: you control camera and microphone access in iOS Settings. Sessions require camera and microphone to function.
- Access / deletion: you may request access to or deletion of your data by emailing info@arsprogrammatica.com. Deleting the App and your account removes your associated profile and usage record, subject to legal retention.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), including access, correction, deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Contact us to exercise them.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for adults and is not directed to children. You must be at least 17 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Users
We are based in Istanbul, Türkiye. We and our providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
If you are in Türkiye, our processing is subject to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR / UK GDPR applies as described in Section 8. To exercise any data-protection right, contact us at info@arsprogrammatica.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
